Title: Full System Scan Suddenly Takes Forever "File index service not ready yet. Plea

In the morning, I started my PC and SAP began a full system scan and it still is running. However, I doubt it even started as I see this message "File index service not ready yet. Please wait...", I took a screenshot FYI

Is that normal? It never took hours for a full system scan to finish  :o

Sometimes it may take 30 to 40 minutes for the file index service to re-index after boot up.

Sometimes this also may be caused by file system issue, or the file index database itself corrupted.

You can try to download and run this utility:
https://secureaplus.secureage.com/download/RefreshFileIndex.exe

What it does:
1.       Run chkdsk /f after the computer rebooted. This is to check and fix the file system issue.
2.       Force the file index to refresh its internal database

Thank you, the small utility RefreshFileIndex.exe did the trick. Now the scans are fast.
