License extension question

If I have a license that expires in, say, 3 months, and I buy a 1 year license, which of the following will occur:

1) The year can be added to my remaining 3 months, giving me a license duration of 1 year and 3 months?
OR
 2) The new license will merely run simultaneously with my existing license so that I lose the 3 months and have only a 1 year license?

The scenario you mentioned will allow 2) to occur. You can finish using the 3 months first then activate the new 1-year license.

Bummers!  :(

IMO, it would be good business if SecureAPlus added to its store a priced option to "Extend a current subscription 1, 2, or 3 years."

pretty sure if you click the renew button (in the licenses menu in your account on the website) the license can have time added onto it.
