We are pleased to announce the release of SecureAPlus v4.7.0.

What's new:
1. Accept wildcard as the parameter in the command line rule.
    For example, now you can target all parameter for powershell.exe by setting the rule to block powershell.exe command line that the parameter starts with *.
    This will allow you to create a stricter command line rule for the applications that are potentially risky to be misused by the attacker.
    Wild card parameter is only applicable for the parameter that has "starts with" rule.
2. Supports whitelisting for Linux native executable files.
    This is to support the new Windows feature: Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
    Currently WSL feature is still Beta in Windows 10. By default WSL is not installed in Windows 10.

Some users reported there was an issue when running v4.7.0 in Windows 7.
We will investigate further. At the moment we will revert back to v4.6.5 until further announcement.

For users who has problem in Windows 7 and below, here are the steps to recover without reinstalling Windows:
- Download the following, save it to your USB Flash disk:
  For 32-bit OS: https://secureaplus.secureage.com/download/RemoveSecureAPlusDriver.exe
  For 64-bit OS: https://secureaplus.secureage.com/download/RemoveSecureAPlusDriver64.exe
- Go to Safe Mode with Command Prompt only. You may need to press F8 during boot up.
- After you see the command prompt, insert your USB Flash disk.
- Find out which drive letter is your USB Flash disk. By typing the driver letter (e.g. D:, E:, F:, etc) <enter>, and type "dir"<enter> to see the content.
  Make sure that the drive contains RemoveSecureAPlusDriver.exe (or RemoveSecureAPlusDriver64.exe for the 64-bit version).
- For 32-bit OS, type: RemoveSecureAPlusDriver.exe<enter>
  For 64-bit OS, type: RemoveSecureAPlusDriver64.exe<enter>

- Reboot your machine.

For those who has problem to go to Command Prompt through Safe Mode with Command Prompt, can try to use bootable USB.

Here are a few tips to create such device:
- Use Media Creation Tool to create bootable Windows 10 Installer. This tool can be downloaded from: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10
  If you are using Windows 10 64-bit Command Prompt, please download and use the following tool: https://secureaplus.secureage.com/download/RemoveSecureAPlusDriver64.exe
  After boot up, click on "Next", after that click on "Repair" rather than "Install Now".
  To boot to USB, in some machines you may need to press F12, and it will provide you with boot up menu to choose from which device you want to boot from.
- The other alternative is to use Rufus to create bootable USB. You can download it from: https://rufus.akeo.ie/
  If you don't have Windows installer ISO image, the other option is you may create Linux bootable USB.
  If you use Linux, go to the following folder in the partition where your Windows is located:
  /Windows/System32/drivers. Find a file name saappctl.sys. You can rename the file to saappctl.sy_, for example. After that reboot your machine.
