Observation Mode turns on after restart
« on: July 10, 2017, 05:15:47 AM »
I don't know if this is just me, but after restarting my computer, the observation mode is turned on. I have to open SA+ and disable the mode again.
I don't know what causes this so I have no steps for reproduction.
This is rather dangerous, because when I forget to turn off the Observation Mode after booting, my computer is exposed.
Thanks.

Did you just upgrade your Windows (e.g. to Windows 10 version 1703)?
Usually after Windows upgrade, SecureAPlus will switch to Observation mode while re-whitelisting Windows files, otherwise there will be a lot of new files get blocked. After re-whitelist Windows files, it will automatically switch back to the normal mode.

During Windows upgrade, there was a period of time where SecureAPlus can't keep track of the new files installed by Windows. This is because there was a time when Windows restart in its own exclusive mode to install the new files without loading any driver or application.

If you encounter a lot of prompting due to a lot of untrusted new Windows files, we will recommend you to uninstall and reinstall SecureAPlus. This will allow SecureAPlus to re-whitelist your system.
