Universal AV Scan bug
« on: January 19, 2016, 05:02:23 AM »
Hello,

I noticed a bug with the Universal AV scan.

Indeed, I had a file with a Russian name, upload the file has been detected and no threat.

After renaming the file with another name, Universal AV was detected. And now the Universal AV blocks the file with the Russian name (same file).

It is rather strange.

Did you use full system scan or manual scan (right click on file, and choose scan from Windows explorer)? If you don't mind, could you let us know the file name and file size, so that we can check on our side?

Thank you and best regards,
Hendy

Hello,

In manual analysis.

As I say the file with a Russian name was not detected, but once renamed "123" file is detected and now it is detected with the Russian name.

File name : подписями.scr
Size : 1.67Mo

For information, I scan the file more than 5 times without detection, and to make renamed to "123.scr", scanning the detected and it now detects correctly with any name.

Thank you.

Hello,

There is a problem in our uploading function for that file name. We will fix this on the next release.
Thank you very much for reporting this to us.
