version 3.3.6 update bsod
« on: July 06, 2015, 02:09:38 AM »
Udate from 3.3.4 to 3.3.6 results in 7f (double fault) bsod on reboot. Win 7. No other AV/malware apps loaded/enabled. ??? Could find neither minidump or memory.dmp after system restore????? Uninstalled 3.3.4 and clean installed 3.3.6 (via full download). Immediate same 7f bsod on completion of 3.3.6 install.

Notably, update to 3.3.6 worked fine on my Win 7 laptop, which in terms of apps is clone of my desktop--even EMET 5.2 which I thought might be suspect.

This blue screen may only happens in some machines with more software, especially drivers, running. We are trying to get this fix as soon as possible. Hopefully we can get a new version out by this week, or the latest is by early next week.
