Version 3.3.4 Is Reported Infected With 2-viruses by VT
« on: April 29, 2015, 05:33:03 AM »
Downloaded the offline installer last night and ran it through VirusTotal.com, which is reporting 2-viruses detected:

ESET-NOD32    a variant of Win32/SecureAge.A potentially unwanted    20150428
TrendMicro-HouseCall    Suspici.1C0E4023    20150427

Note: saying these are false positives is circular reasoning.  Secure uses VT in it's own detection process...

Until these are cleared I can't install this version.  Would it be possible to get the offline installer for version 3.2 - that's the one I had installed previously.

Thank you for informing us. We have reported the false positive. While waiting for it to be cleared, if you want, you can download the offline version of v3.2 from the following location: https://secureaplus.secureage.com/download/SecureAPlusSetup_v3.2.0.exe

Thanks for taking this seriously.  Apparently version 3.2 is reporting a virus too:

ESET-NOD32   a variant of Win32/SecureAge.A potentially unwanted

I was unable to submit this as a false-positive to ESET because the file size is too large for attachments in gmail.
